Presented at the Parc De la Villette, the third-largest park in Paris, The group exhibition, "La Grand Galerie de Foot" will showcase a selection of iconic works of football, from the 1920s to today. Through paintings, sculptures, films and photographs, forty artists question and celebrate football and invite the viewer to take a new look on the sport.

David LaChapelle's contribution of work includes, "David Beckham: Posing for Pictures II" and, "David Beckham: Posing for Pictures III"

Over forty artists - including: David LaChapelle, Andreas Gursky , Wim Delvoye , Chris Beas , Kehinde Wiley and Iris Van Dongen - will be represented.

Inspired by the Louvre , "La Grand Galerie de Foot" looks simple in principle, dramatic in form, teaching itself, especially unexpected in the context of the celebrations of 2016 Europe. The goal is to reach high culture and popular culture.

From the beauty of gestures, to the choreography of the players, the theme of football is found in the work of many contemporary artists. It has Become a truly global phenomenon, a political topic, and with it's influence on the economic industries it has become a hotbed for the world of capitalism. This topic of football is adressed by many artists on a large spectrum ranging from the more critical to the more ironic.
