Malba opens the LaChapelle exhibition to the public. Heaven to Hell | Beauties and Disasters, by the American artist David LaChapelle, organized by b-side.

The exhibition includes a selection of 25 large photographs, which are part of the book Heaven to Hell (2006) -last title of a trilogy that began with the publication of LaChappelle Land (1996), and continued with Hotel LaChappelle (1999) - . In turn, the three books reappeared, fragmentarily, in Artists and Prostitutes 1985-2005, a sumptuous numbered and signed edition that works as a graphic retrospective of the artist, from the beginnings to the present.

Also, in the museum auditorium will be screened his film Rize, released in 2005 with great critical success, and some of his music videos (Natural Blues, Moby, Rich Girl, Gwen Stefani, Can't Hold Us Down and Dirty , by Christina Aguilera, She's Not Right For You, by Macy Gray, It's My Life by No Doubt, I'm Glad, by Jennifer Lopez, This Train Don't Stop There Anymore, by Elton John).
Biography

David LaChapelle (Fairfield, Connecticut, US, 1963) is one of the most recognized visual artists. The surreal aesthetic with which he works the images and the humor he puts into his photographic compositions have taken him to the top of the photographic scene. He has also stood out as director of commercials and video clips. He studied Fine Arts at the North Carolina School of Arts before moving to New York. After his arrival, he joined the Art Students League and the School of Visual Arts.

Andy Warhol offered him his first job as a photographer for Interview Magazine. A versatile artist, he is considered a "disciple of Warhol", from whom he knew a way of expressing through photography, with a sarcastic tone, a scathing critique of the most satirical characters of popular culture.

This exhibition is presented by Levi's and personal and has the support of Clarín, Gancia, Knauf and Cravero Lanis.
